Fushigi Yuugi Original Soundtrack

1. Itooshi Hito no Tameni (For the Sake of My Beloved)[Long]
The long version of the opening theme. Has an extra couple verses and a cool trumpet bridge in the middle. Good stuff!

2. Prologue - Book of the Four Heavenly Gods
The celesteral-type music with the "Kami-sama" chant in the background in places. Used when Tamahome is explaining to Miaka about the four Gods. Short peice.

3. Miaka - Romantic
Miaka theme - Slow. Used when she is blushing, talking to/about Tamahome, etc. Light music with chords in the background suporting the synthed melody line, and an accasional synthed xylophone. Has a saxaphone solo in the bridge, then the sax shows up perodicly in the last rephrain, and ends the track.

4. Winner
Kickin' song! Played in the show three times. First, when Miaka is telling her brother about the universe of the four gods, etc. Ep 33 (The one that didn't happen. ;) and when Tamahome is jumping over cars in the real world. The lyrics are great too. A Fran-Nyan pick!

5. Legend of the Suzaku (Instrumental)
Normaly used when eversome one is talking about Suzaku or the other gods. The celestral-type music with 'sparkly' noises.. :)

6. Suzaku Shichi Seishi (Instrumental)
Disco Seishi! :) The fun music that's played when ever the Suzaku seishi spring into action that always makes me think of Tamahome spining around on a turn-table doing that disco thing where you barely move... :)(Ya know, the move you always do when you're making fun of disco.. :)
Has a nice base and brass line going, defently something you can boogie to. Normal accompanied in the show with someone yelling in an 'I'm going to kick your ass' kinda way. Also the bit at the end that makes me think of Tama standing with his hair flying in the wind, Oni in full glow. I think it was used when he went super-oni for the first time... Not sure..

7. Tamahome (Instrumental)
Tamahome's theme. Has a country-esque type of sound for most of it, then at the middle it switches to the Tamahome kicking ass music. (Think first ep, his symbol flaring up, and them him springing into action. Also in the ep where Miaka writes his name on Genrou's papers and his illusion saves everyone. Basicly the 'Is that what a real man does?' intro.. :)

8. Miaka - Action (Instrumental)
Miaka's theme - Fast pased and rock like. A electric gutar shares the melody line with a trumpet group. Miaka kickin' butt.

9. Wakatte Itahazu (I Must Have Understood)
Slow song, bit sad. It's the first song used in the consert scean where Tamahome is having issues after being told he's just a character in a book, when he's watching the couple in the movie fight, then make up.

10. Hotohori (Instrumental)
Hotohori's theme (gee, who woulda guessed! :) Used when he's in Emperor mode.

11. Hakurikuru Shikaku
The Miaka running through the woods music. I think it was used when she was running from the bats when flute boy (Amiboshi) showed up for the first time. They're found of useing this near an eye catch.

12. Shuurai! Seiryuu Shichi Seishi (Instrumental)
Nakago's theme mainly. Starts with the brass 'oops' music, and then goes into the Nakago talking music. (The minamalistic music that has the panflute-type short bit, followed and backed by a soft low synthed melody. At about the halfway point you get a small bridge. Then, the Seiryuu attack music starts up. It the one with the groove to it, done with trumpets and a cool base line. It's basicly the first half done faster, with more intruments layered onto it.

13. Seiiwo Muneni
Version on Miaka's theme again, done on piano with a first trumpet doing the melody line, followed by an electrical guitar, then back and minorly dueted. Used when Miaka is telling Tamahome (via Chichiri's spell) about the seishi they've found, and doing a general role call.

14. Tokimeki no Doukasen (Blazing Heartbeat) [Long]
Love this one. Remember in about ep 35 or so (when they had gotten the Genbu shinzaho) when the closeing music started up the first time it sounded a bit diffrent? This is the version they started playing.

15. Itooshi Hito no Tameni [Short]
If you don't know this song, you haven't watched enough FY. :) The opening theme done exactly the way it is in the show. Sing along everyone! :)

16. Tokimeki no Doukasen [Short]
Exactly as it is in the ending of the show.
